HMRC Business Records Checks restart January 2013

HMRC is to continue its campaign targeting small businesses in 2013 by restarting its letters to small businesses advising them on keeping adequate business records.

This will be followed up by a 15 minute phone interview by HMRC to establish if the firm would benefit from a face to face visit.

Tonmoy Kumar, Manager of the Accounts Department of ABDS comments:
“It is estimated that 1 in 3 firms could be keeping inadequate records.  Establishing procedures and taking professional advice from your accountant could save you the cost of time wasted on a business records check – or tax penalties.”

If you need any help and advice with your Books and Record or with PAYE,  general Bookkeeping, or in Outsourcing your Accounting Department, contact Lavinia Newman, Stuart Coleman or Tonmoy Kumar NOW to discuss how ABDS can help in all your business matters.
